Why the name?

It comes from the word "dub" or "dubbing", the action of adding a new language track to content.

What are we doing?

We want to make it super easy for you to "dub the Web", whenever you want it in your language.

It happens all the time. You're doing research and the most interesting link on twitter is in another language. While studying or working abroad you can't share all the stuff you read with friends back home. You're teaching a class and you need something translated before you can share it with your students. You just finished a story and you wish you could share it in more languages. And, your friend complained that you gave her the terrible machine translation!

So what do you do? You need to express your wish and get the translation started! Dubzer helps you do just that.

What have we been up to?

We presented an early concept of Dubzer at DEMO Fall 09 in California (www.demo.com).Dubzer was featured by VentureBeat, CNBC, CNET Japan, and by SUN Startups Spotlight Program. We've tinkered with the early concept and adapted it so we can dub the Web much faster. Do send your ideas on how we can make the product better.

Who are we?

We're a small team that's excited about co-creation and the people-powered Web. We're believers of Lean Startup frameworks and adopt the "learn early, learn often" mantra as we tinker away and build Web products. We're alumni of Wharton, Rochester Institute of Technology, Amazon, Research in Motion, and Persistent.

We're usually on twitter, give us a shout - @anjaligupta @sdawara.
